If you spend your time caring for someone else, it’s important to care for yourself too. Through the Short Breaks for Unpaid Carers scheme, Age Connects Morgannwg are offering free relaxation treats designed to give you time to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a well-earned pause from your caring role.
Available to adult unpaid carers (18+) across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) and Merthyr. Various venues and dates available until March 2026.
Taff Rocks is offering a free 12-week creative programme especially for carers and the people they care for. The programme will finish with a community exhibition of everyone’s artwork and a celebratory buffet at week 13.
Across the 12 weeks, participants can enjoy a variety of relaxing and fun activities.
Campfire Cymru's Forest Families project comprises Forest School sessions for families supporting people with disabilities where parents/carers attend alongside children and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere by the campfire; and Forest Families Parents and Carers, which provides outdoor wellbeing and peer support sessions.
Techtivity’s Continuing to Care project supports carers take a break from their everyday life supporting families who are caring for a child with invisible disabilities, particularly parent and sibling carers along with the children they care for.
