RCT Carers Project has received funding from the ‘Short Breaks Community Fund’ once again and is offering unpaid carers the opportunity to benefit from this. A ‘short break’ can take many forms: a service, an activity, or an item, but they always give unpaid carers the opportunity to enjoy some precious time for themselves or a break from the daily routine. We are offering unpaid carers a chance to take some time out from their caring responsibilities to enjoy some form of experience through our wellbeing vouchers.
We are offering three types of short break for carers:
Are you an unpaid carer in Rhondda Cynon Taf or Merthyr Tydfil?
If you spend your time caring for someone else, it’s important to care for yourself too. Through the Short Breaks for Unpaid Carers scheme, Age Connects Morgannwg are offering free relaxation treats designed to give you time to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a well-earned pause from your caring role.
Available to adult unpaid carers (18+) across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) and Merthyr. Various venues and dates available until March 2026.
Taff Rocks is offering a free 12-week creative programme especially for carers and the people they care for. The programme will finish with a community exhibition of everyone’s artwork and a celebratory buffet at week 13.
Across the 12 weeks, participants can enjoy a variety of relaxing and fun activities.
