Action for Children will provide young carers from Ynys Môn and Gwynedd with the opportunity to access group activities and microgrants of up to £50 to be used to go on a short break that suits their needs and interests. The project aims to increase their focus on reaching young carers from minority ethnic backgrounds via community events and in-school promotion, offering hidden young carers the opportunity to receive the same bespoke support and short breaks as their peers.
A Family Support Practitioner will assist families and young carers to fill out a Microgrant application form to help them to easily access this personalised, flexible and inclusive support. Young carers in Ynys Môn and Gwynedd can reach out to Katie Roberts, Family Support Practitioner, to hear more about this opportunity and apply.
To find out more or to apply for this break, please speak to Action for Children – Gwynedd & Ynys Môn directly.
